SKIN CONSULTATIONS

A 30 minute consultation that takes an in-depth look at your specific skin concerns.

During this consultation we will take a comprehensive history regarding your past and present skin care regimen, specific skin concerns, medical conditions and lifestyle factors that may be affecting the health of your skin. We then cleanse and prep the skin and perform a thorough visual and tactile analysis of your skin followed by the taking of pictures so that progress may be monitored. The relevant findings will then be presented to you and an appropriate treatment will be performed ONLY IF the patient's skin barrier function is intact. A long term treatment plan using a combination of home care products and in clinic procedures will then be formulated for the patient based on the severity of the skin condition, the patient’s budget and time constraints.

CHEMICAL PEELS

A technique whereby a solution is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and improve cellular turnover. Used to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation and acne. Performed by our advanced aesthetic Somatologist.

 Glycolic Peel: A superficial hyaluronic peel of varying intensity with very little to no down time. Has great antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, very effective against treating hyper-pigmentation, fine lines and dehydrated skin.

Xpert Peel: Synergistic combination of salicylic acid, glycolic acid, lactic acid and phytic acid that rejuvenates skin. Improves inflammatory skin conditions such as acne, pigmentation and rosacea.

Retinol Peel:This advanced, physician-strength anti-aging peel contains 3 % retinol plus a retinol boosting complex to exfoliate and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduce acne, and improve skin laxity while promoting a bright, even and clear complexion.

Dr Schrammek Green Peel®:

What is the Green Peel®?

More than 60 years ago, Christine Schrammek provided the foundation for the original GREEN PEEL® Herbal Peeling Treatment which helps people with various skin problems to get a clean and even skin. The basis is a mixture of nine selected herbs containing enzymes, minerals and vitamins, which are massaged into the skin. The Herbal Peeling Treatment was further medically developed and extended by her daughter, the dermatologist Dr. med. Christine Schrammek-Drusio, and is applied today by aestheticians and doctors worldwide. Varying amounts of the herbal plant mixtures allows the GREEN PEEL® Herbal Peeling Treatment to be adapted to individual skin conditions and the personal treatment goals.

The Procedure

1.     Your therapist will chat to you about your skin concern to determine the treatment goal.

2.     The skin is cleansed & prepped.

3.     Toning with Herbal care lotion to remove loose skin cells on the surface of the skin.

4.     Skin preparation with Gel Super Purifiant – Increases blood flow to the skin so that the layers of the skin is accepting of the herbs.

5.     Herbal Peeling – The Green Peel herbs are mixed with water and Calming Facial Foam and then massaged into the skin according to the level of Green Peel.

6.     Toning with Herbal Care Lotion

7.     Mask and ampoules are applied– Skin type dependent.

8.     Toning with Herbal care lotion

9.     Skin is moisturized.

10.  Post procedure care is applied to accelerate healing of the skin.

What to expect during and after the Green Peel®?

 The GREEN PEEL® feels like a rough exfoliator and once the herbs have penetrated the skin you will feel a “sand like” prickly feeling underneath the skin when the therapist touches it. The herbs are not perfectly round and when the skin compresses you will feel the prickly herbs in the skin the day of the treatment and 1-5 days post peel, depending on the strength of the treatment and method performed.

After the peel the skin can feel sensitive, tingly, sunburnt, tight, and red in colour. Homecare will make sure the skin heals efficiently.

 

Homecare Kit

Homecare products should be used for a minimum of 3 days post Green Peel® to prevent breakouts and dryness.

  • Super Soft cleanser/Deep Pore cleanser

  • Herbal Care lotion

  • Special Care Cream or Special Regulating Cream

  • Blemish Balm

 

Why do you need to use a Homecare kit post Green Peel®?

The GREEN PEEL® herbs stay in the skin up to 5 days post peel and only the Homecare kit is to be used for the following reasons:

·      Any active products can damage the herbs inside the skin and can influence the result.

·      Active products can cause sensitivities and reactions on the skin if used post peel.

·      The Homecare kit was carefully select to ensure comfort, hydration, results and for calming down any inflammation.

·      A slight red rash can sometimes be experienced due to irritation of the herbs within the skin and incorrect treatment of them

Please note: No cleanser – only Herbal Care Lotion, special Care or Special regulating cream and BB Cream is used with GREEN PEEL® Classic.

A GREEN PEEL® Fresh Up, Energy or Classic cannot be done without a Homecare kit.
